Discover the work of the CFD & HSE Simulation Research Group, directed by Dr. Christos D. Argyropoulos. Our dedicated team of engineers and scientists employs advanced numerical modelling to investigate complex phenomena ranging from intricate multiphase flows and porous media transport to complex turbulence and chemical reaction engineering. Complementing our high-fidelity numerical simulations, we are increasingly incorporating AI/ML-driven analysis of the resulting data to provide enhanced critical insights into process safety, occupational health and safety (OHS), air pollution, energy and public health. Our research is focused on developing innovative computational solutions to enhance the safety and sustainability of industrial processes, OHS, air quality and environmental health.
